Data Corrections
If you believe any data displayed on PlainBroadband is inaccurate, please email us with the specific page URL and the correction. We source our data from Ofcom's Connected Nations 2025 publication and refresh when Ofcom publishes new editions. For coverage figures that differ from your own experience, please also include your postcode, as our pages show area-level averages rather than individual address lookups.
About PlainBroadband
PlainBroadband is an independent data portal powered by official public datasets. PlainBroadband is not affiliated with Ofcom, the UK government, or any broadband provider.
What to Contact Us About
We read every message sent to PlainBroadband. The most useful enquiries include: reporting a factual error in a specific local authority or constituency record, asking how a metric is defined or calculated, suggesting a new data view or comparison we should add, letting us know a page is broken or loads slowly, submitting a partnership or media proposal, or requesting permission to quote our data analysis in a news article or research paper. Researchers, journalists, council officers, and telecoms policy professionals are especially welcome to reach out about methodology questions or data-source clarifications.
Response Time
Our editorial team is small but attentive. We aim to respond to data-correction reports and straightforward questions within 72 hours on business days. Partnership enquiries, media requests, and longer research exchanges may take up to one week during busy periods. If your message is time-sensitive — a press deadline, a legal matter, or a security concern — please say so in the subject line and we will prioritise it accordingly.
Editorial Corrections Process
When you report a factual error, please include (a) the exact URL of the affected page, (b) the field or figure you believe is wrong, (c) what the correct value should be, and (d) a link or citation to the primary source — ideally the relevant Ofcom publication or official operator data. Because our coverage figures come directly from Ofcom's Connected Nations dataset, corrections that relate to the underlying source data can only be applied when Ofcom publishes a revised edition. In the meantime, we can annotate the page with a correction notice. We do not remove accurate information solely because it is unflattering; removal requests are considered only where the information is materially inaccurate or subject to a legal right under applicable law.
Privacy and Legal Requests
For privacy-related requests (access, deletion, opt-out), please use privacy@plainbroadband.co.uk — see our Privacy Policy for the full list of rights. For subpoenas, DMCA notices, or other formal legal correspondence, use legal@plainbroadband.co.uk. Routing legal mail to the general inbox can delay our response; please use the dedicated addresses when the situation calls for them.
